1. Title bar

The title bar contains the software version number and the location and name of the shot in progress.

2. Menu bar

The drop down menus in the menu bar are as follows:

File

  • New (ctrl+n) – create a new job from a video file
  • Open (ctrl+o) – open an existing tracking job (.impd file)
  • Save (ctrl+s) – save changes to job
  • Export Landmark Positions (PRO) - exports the landmarks positions for the shot in an xml file
  • Export Neutral Frame (PRO) -- exports the current frame as a Neutral Frame
  • Import Tracking Model – imports a previously trained model
  • Export Tracking Model – exports the most recent model that has been trained
  • Manage Subscription -- Allows user to modify subscription credentials
  • Exit – closes the application

Edit

  • Undo (ctrl+z) – reverse previous command
  • Redo (ctrl+y) – reverse previous undo operation
  • Copy Landmarks (ctrl+c) – copies the values of selected landmarks (if no landmarks are selected, values of all landmarks in the current face group will be copied)
  • Paste Landmarks (ctrl+v) – pastes the landmark values from the clipboard to the current frame
  • Interpolate Frame (del) – linearly interpolates selected landmarks on the current frame
  • Interpolate Range (shift+del) – linearly interpolates selected landmarks on all frames in the selected range
  • Reset Face Group – resets all landmarks on current frame in the selected face group to default values
  • Lock Landmarks (ctrl+l) – protects values for selected landmarks from being overwritten
  • Drag Mode – Normal (F2) – allows the user to move each landmark into place manually
  • Drag Mode - Intelligent Drag (F3) – automatically adjusts positions of all landmarks in the selected face group based on the landmark(s) being moved by the user
  • Options – allows the user to change landmark colors

View

  • Inactive Landmarks – makes all landmarks visible regardless of which face group is selected
  • Tooltips – makes tooltips showing names of landmarks visible

Play

  • Play/Stop (ctrl+space) – starts and stops playback of shot
  • Prev Training Frame (ctrl+left) – jumps to previous training frame in timeline
  • Next Training Frame (ctrl+right) – jumps to next training frame in timeline
  • Rewind – jumps to beginning of shot
  • Fast Forward – jumps to end of shot
  • Set Play Range to Selected Range – shows only selected range in timeline
  • Set Play Range to Job Range – shows entire shot range in timeline

Markup (PRO)

  • Mark Selected Landmarks (ctrl+t) – Toggles training frame indicator for selected points
  • Mark Landmark Group (ctrl+g) – Toggles training frame indicator for landmark group
  • Mark Face Group (ctrl+m) – Toggles training frame indicator for face group

Track

  • AutoTrack - Opens the AutoTrack dialog box to automatically track the face
  • Train Model (PRO )– All – trains a model using imported training frames and local training frames
  • Train Model (PRO) - All Local (F5) - trains a model using all local training frames, ignores imported training frames
  • Train Model (PRO) – Selected (F6) – trains a model using only the training frames in selected range
  • Track (F7) (PRO) – tracks frames within the valid regions
  • Track – All (F8) (PRO) – tracks all frames of the shot
  • Track – Selected (F9) (PRO) – tracks frames in the selected range
  • Track – Section (F10) (PRO) – tracks frames between the previous and next training frames
  • Parameterize (F12) – parameterizes the shot

Help

  • Online Help - opens an internet browser to the Faceware Support page
  • Tutorials - opens an internet browser to the Faceware Video Tutorials page
  • Upgrade to Analyzer Pro (LITE) - Let's user upgrade from LITE to PRO versions of Analyzer
  • About - opens a window displaying software information

3. Toolbar

  1. New – create a new job
  2. Open – open an existing job
  3. Save – save current job
  4. Copy – copy selected landmarks
  5. Paste – paste landmarks (only active if something has been copied)
  6. Face Group – choose active face group (Face, Eyes, Brows, Mouth)
  7. Drag Mode – choose active drag mode
    • Normal – select one of more points and move them manually
    • Intelligent drag – moving one or more points affects the position of all the other points
  8. AutoTrack - Opens the AutoTrack dialog box to automatically track the face
  9. Train – train model-all
  10. Track – track valid regions (only active if a model has been trained)
  11. Parameterize - parameterizes the shot

4. Timeline

  1. Timeline view first frame – first frame of the range in the timeline, type in box to manually set first frame of timeline area
  2. Training frame indicator – denotes frames where a training frame has been created
  3. Current frame indicator – shows current frame, scrub or click timeline to move
  4. Playback controls – In order from left to right – First frame, previous training frame, previous frame, play/stop, next frame, next training frame, last frame
  5. Timeline view last frame – last frame of the range in the timeline, type to manually change
  6. Current frame number – shows current frame, can type to manually jump to a particular frame
  7. Playback speed – sets playback speed relative to native framerate

5. Status bar

  1. Frame range
  2. Model notification – this will be greyed out until a model has been trained or imported into the shot and lets the user know that tracking is available to be done
  3. Zoom slider – controls the zoom level, double-click the percentage to snap to 100%
